It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

It's December already and that means pretty lights and cosy Christmas decorations outside on the streets. We have listed a number of fun events that you can visit during the Christmas holidays. For example, go to a nice museum or enjoy a day of shopping in Winkelhart Zeezijde!

Sisters on Ice

Come and enjoy ice skating! Until the end of January, the terrace of Sisters Beach has been transformed into an ice rink. Rent a pair of skates and practice your skating skills with friends or family. Afterward, you can order delicious winter drinks and treats. Warm up with a hot bowl of soup or mulled wine.

There's also plenty to do in Katwijk for a fun day out with the children. For example, visit Valkenburgse Meer and take a ride on the Stoomtrein Katwijk-Leiden. If you feel like climbing and playing in a playground, explore all the best playgrounds with the Play and Explore Map. Bibliotheek Katwijk has plenty of fun activities this winter!

Enjoy your Christmas dinner in a special place. At beach pavilion Zand, you can have a delightful 3-course menu for breakfast or dinner on Boxing Day. Alternatively, savor up to 7 courses (!) at Restaurant Limes aan den Rijn, along with a matching wine arrangement. At Zee en Zon, indulge in a snack and a drink with a stunning view of the sea.
