It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

It's December already and that means pretty lights and cosy Christmas decorations outside on the streets. We have listed a number of fun events that you can visit during the Christmas holidays. For example, go to a nice museum or enjoy a day of shopping in Winkelhart Zeezijde!

Discover art and culture

With Katwijk's rich art history, there is always something to discover! Visit one of the six museums and see the various exhibitions such as ‘Imaginations with Needle and Thread’ at the Katwijks Museum. In the DUNAatelier, you will discover the 'Textielkwartet' exhibition alongside the collection with works by different artists. Four artists show their artworks made of textiles.

Stroll along the promenade and discover all kinds of statues along the way with the Beelden aan Zee walking route.

Zeezijde Katwijk is also open during the winter period. Here you will find a wide variety of shops where you can pick up the perfect Christmas gift!

Nature

Take a walk in the dunes and visit the National Park Hollandse Duinen.. An area full of country estates, recreational lakes, forests, bulb fields and historical heritage. Did you know that the highest point in Zuid-Holland is in Katwijk? The Vlaggenduin is no less than 37 metres high. 

Or go for a walk in the Panbos. Ideal for playing and walking with the children, but also with the dog. Keep your four-legged friend on a leash and only let him loose in the designated off-leash area.
