Katwijk is perfect for (water) sports! Learn to kite at Kiteschool Katwijk, for example! Or learn to surf at Surfschool Katwijk, where you will also regularly enjoy other fun activities on the beach and in the sea, such as beach volleyball, boxing clinics and expedition Robinson. Pay a visit to Aquasports Katwijk. Perfect for a day out with friends; banana sailing, wakeboarding, wave surfing, supping and more.

Brave the dunes on a mountain bike! ATB Katwijk organises clinics in one of the most beautiful mountain bike areas in the Netherlands. The beach, the vast dunes and forests are the perfect setting for an afternoon of spectacular mountain biking.

Cultural excursion

Have you been yet? Until September 7, you can still visit the "Sailing for Freedom" exhibition at the Katwijks Museum. This exhibition highlights the vital role of the merchant navy during World War II. Until that same date, you can also discover the artworks of Düsseldorf artist German Grobe in the exhibition "The Donation". In 2024, Grobe’s grandson donated sixty-six of his works to the museum.

At the DUNAatelier, you’ll now find the paintings created during Katwijk en Plein Air. Artists from the Netherlands and abroad spent a week painting outdoors. The works will be on display until September 28.

Enjoy shopping in Katwijk!

With the beautiful days approaching again, it's perfect for some shopping in Katwijk. In Katwijk aan Zee, you will find the nicest boutiques, children's shops and concept stores in Winkelhart Zeezijde. In Katwijk-Noord, you will find the indoor shopping centre Hoornes passage. It is open every day from 8:00 and offers 175 free parking spaces.

Shopping centre De Hoftuin is located in the centre of Rijnsburg and offers a wide and varied range of shops.

Of course, we can't forget the markets! Every Friday, the weekly market in Katwijk starts at 10:00 AM, and every Tuesday, the market in Rijnsburg opens at 1:00 PM. Or discover the Tourist Market, held every Tuesday!
