At various beach entrances, you will find instructional signs with all safety measures, allowing you to enjoy a day at the beach in peace. The rules are also available on the Municipality of Katwijk's website. Check out the different flag codes and what to do if you find yourself in a rip current.
The Katwijk Rescue Brigade was founded in 1923, celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The Katwijk Rescue Brigade collaborates with the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution. In Katwijk, there are both a South Post and a North Post at both ends of the Boulevard. You can go there, for example, in case of a jellyfish sting. In case of emergency, dial 112.
