I want to ride my bicycle
In Katwijk, you can have lovely bike rides. You can follow the Heritage cycle route, which takes you along places of historical interest in Katwijk, Rijnsburg and Valkenburg. Other routes allow you to cross the coastal landscape between Katwijk and Wassenaar or to ride along the farms in and around Katwijk.
The province of South Holland created the Limes cycle route between Katwijk and Leiden, along the border of the former Roman Empire. You can read more background information about the Limes here.
Bike, mountain bike or Solex bike hire
You can find some addresses for renting (electrical) bikes here. ATB Katwijk is an organisation that provides training in one of the most beautiful mountain biking areas of the Netherlands. The beach, the vast dunes and woodlands provide the perfect setting for an afternoon of spectacular mountain biking. For more information, check out the ATB Katwijk website. Or maybe you prefer to experience the nostalgia of riding a Solex bike and imagine yourself being in the fifties or sixties? For more information about hiring Solex bikes, visit the Have Fun Events website.
